Ever wish that your Palm's clock was more accurate? Now you can have it synchronize with your PC's clock every time you perform a Hot Sync. TimeAble will perform either automatic or manual clock synchronizations and give you other options for clock management. Use it with EyeNet Time to synchronize your PC's clock to Internet time servers and you'll never be late again!
The only screen for TimeAble is for both information and configuration. Here you will see the date and time of the Last Sync from both the PDA's and PC's point of view and the difference between the two. You can check the "Automatic Sync..." button to have the PDA automatically brought in line with the PC whenever the difference is more than the chosen number of seconds. The "Perform reboot..." button will instruct the PDA to perform a soft reset after the automatic time correction. This is necessary to make sure that any alarms get an opportunity to get a notification that the time has changed. If you do not care about this, you can uncheck this box. However, if automated operations in other applications stop working, you will probably want to check it again. The "Set Time Now..." button will manually bring the PDA in line with the PC's time in those instances when the difference was less than the automatic threshold or if automatic change is not checked. What Do I Need to Use TimeAble? You need a PDA running PalmOS version 3.0 or above and about 30K of space available for the application. You also must have Microsoft Windows 98 or above and version 3.0 of the Palm Desktop or above. PDAs that have PalmOS 3.0 or above include all devices made by Palm since the Palm III (1998), all devices from Handspring (including the Treo models), all devices from Sony, all of the Kyocera PalmOS Smart Phones, the TRG Pro, the Handera, all of the IBM Workpad series, the PalmOS based Symbol devices, and the PalmOS based Samsung phones. The unregistered version is limited to 50 syncs. A periodic message will appear to remind you to register. A license must be purchased by using our Buy Now feature within 30 days of your first use. To register the application, choose About from the menu and click the Register button. You will need to provide either the Palm User Name as it appears on this screen or the series of letters and numbers separated by colons for registration. If you provide this information at the time of purchase, an unlock key will be emailed to you. To view a copy of the license (also included in the download file), visit our License Page or you can send an email to brad@HandAble.com for more information. Future versions of the application can be directly installed without the need to re-register. Registered users are entitled to free updates for the life of the product. To upgrade your version at any time, simply download the newest file and install the prc file to your device, same as when you first installed the application.
